The volume of clothing Australians throw away each year to keep up with latest fashion has led to tonnes of textile end up in Landfills. While considering landfill as an option by many, at Australian Used Textile we have developed a network with customers in the Pacific Island Countries, West and Eastern parts of Africa to recycle used clothing. There are other used clothing businesses, textile upcycle and recycle agencies, and charity organisations have all contributed meaningfully to protect our environment. The collective effort inputted has indicated that a portion of what goes to landfill every year is reduced through recycling.

As we continue to promote the idea of keeping the environment safe, we have set up collection centres in certain places and run collection bags to residential areas to buy used clothes. Our main aim is to buy used clothes from users who have clothes in their wardrobe that, they no longer need them. Those clothes can be sold to us. This will help save their time, effort, and money to pack unwanted items in their wardrobes to landfill.
